To ensure we keep our property in top shape for your future visits, we will be performing essential balcony maintenance from 13th March 2026 onwards. We know you’re here to relax, and we sincerely apologize for this temporary interruption. There will be scaffolding erected around the balcony and there will be works taking place throughout the day. A lovely cosy weekend
I have just stayed here with family to celebrate my 40th & really enjoyed it. There are cosy little spaces to sit and relax in & the staff are very friendly & attentive - for example coming to find us in the library we were relaxing in 15 minutes before the bar closed to check if we wanted any more drinks. The breakfasts were delicious & we had a fantastic dinner here also. We walked in to Bath easily as it’s downhill - we were too lazy to face walking back up and it was only an £8 uber.

Lovely hotel
Stayed 3 nights. Beds softer than my life choices, staff nicer than my therapist, and the location? Stunning—beautiful part of the country. Lovely bar downstairs with a cozy fire made evenings perfect. Left happy, slightly spoiled, and plotting my secret permanent move. 10/10, would willingly live here under an alias!

Hotel with parking
We stayed for a couple of nights and had no issues at all. The room was 323 , it had a city view. Room was spacious , bed was comfortable. Slept with no issues .We chose this hotel,because it had parking. We did walk into the city centre in 15 minutes. The hotel is on a 11% gradient hill , so walking into town was ok . It was a bit of hike , coming back up. Definitely recommend the hotel. Staff were nice and also a good breakfast.

I found the hotel clean warm and very welcoming. Staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was fantastic. It’s such a pity that this hotel has a few bad reviews it can cripple a business. I will be booking for my daughter’s graduation in May 26 if that’s a sign of how pleased we were to find this Gem in Bath.
